The 'My Lips But Better' Edit

I love writing lipstick-themed posts, it's probably just because they're so pretty to photograph. I was wondering what post I could write about my lip collection, when it came to mind the amount of wearable 'yours lips but better' lipsticks I have.

It's probably because I'm just a teenager so its quite difficult, at least for me personally, to wear a bold lip. I love to stick to safe shades like mauves and rosy tones, because that's the colour of my naturally bright lips.

The first lippie to mention is the shade 'Brave' by MAC. This is in a gorgeous satin finish, which I love because its so close to being matte, but not quite there. It's a gorgeous rosy pink, I think it is also one of the 'Kylie Jenner' MAC lipstick shades as well. A more affordable option to go for is an offering from L'Oreal. The lipstick 'Julianne's Nude' is similar to Brave but slightly lighter and peachier, rather than rosy toned. It's such an easy shade to wear and it's super creamy too.

A couple of lip balmy type products (I never know what to call them, are they chubby sticks? Lip sticks? Please let me know haha!!) to mention are a couple of offerings from Collection and Revlon. Collection's Moisturising Lip Butter in the shade 3 Vintage Rose is a glossy peach shade. It might not be the most wearable for everybody (it looks so natural on me because of my brightly pigmented lips!) but it is so sheer and easy to wear. Revlon's Lacquer Balm in the shade 105 Demure is much more nude, it is a very light pink nude with shimmer and smells of delicious peppermint.

Top to Bottom: Revlon Demure, Collection Vintage Rose,
L'Oreal Julianne's Nude, Chanel Mademoiselle, MAC Brave
If you're looking for something a bit more luxurious, the shade 'Mademoiselle' by Chanel is gorgeous. It's quite difficult to describe and a bit darker than the other shades mentioned already. I'd say its quite a mauve colour, with rosy undertones and a hint of brown in there too (worst shade description ever? I think so) You can see this post or this post for some more in depth reviews on this!!

What lipsticks do you own that are the perfect 'my lips but better' shade?
