You Need This £5 Mac Mehr Dupe



Hey guys, just want to say a quick thank you for all the amazing feedback we've been getting lately. Our comments and views have increased a lot all of a sudden, and of course it's not all about that, but its really great to know our posts are being appreciated. Love you guys xx

The Rimmel Kate Moss lipstick in 08 has been a firm favourite of mine for months now, especially in the colder months. It is this perfect mauve shade with a creamy yet incredibly long lasting formula. All in one £5 tube.

And when Abida gifted me the beautiful MAC lipstick in the shade 'Mehr' for my birthday in March - I instantly fell in love with it. It was a little while until I noticed the similarity though, and when I did I completely forgot about it! But here I am, writing about it in late June, haha.

L-R: Rimmel 08, MAC Mehr

The shades are so similar, Mehr is just slightly pinker and ever so slightly darker. But they both share that same mauve undertone. When on the lips, I don't think I could easily tell the difference between them!

The main difference between 08 and Mehr is the formula. Mehr is matte, yet still moisturising, whereas 08 has a slight sheen to it, and is quite creamy too. Mehr is more pigmented but 08 is great for the price, and isn't sheer at all!

    I can't believe how close the colour match is, practically identical! I've got Mac Mehr on my wish list so maybe I'll just pick the Rimmel one up instead x

      The main difference is the finish, so if you want a matte finish you should give Mehr a swatch anyway! Xxx

    These actually look like the same shade!! I don't really like matte lipstick for everyday as I find that many dry my lips out too much so I will 100% but this whenever I see it because I love the shade!! Great post and thanks for sharing :)

    They do look so similar! I've found while dupes are great to try on the colors, more expensive brands do tend to have longer-lasting coverage. But still love Colourpop and Rimmel!

    Ah thanks for sharing this, I've wanted Mehr for a while now but maybe I'll pick up the Kate Moss dupe instead. One of the Rimmel lipsticks (I forget what they're called, they're the ones in the black tube) in the shade Starry Eyed is a really good dupe for Mac Media - I have both!

    I love finding MAC dupes! So far the only one I've tried, though, is Wet N Wild's Bare It All, which is a dupe for Velvet Teddy. :)
