I rarely wear blush, but recently I've been trying to make an effort to wear them. I have very rosy cheeks naturally, so applying blusher usually just amplifies that. However I have a few blushes, that I have apply very lightly to add radiant dimension to my complexion. So I've decided to do a roundup of my blushers with a mini review of each for you.
BOURJOIS - ROSE D'OR - £7.99 you can buy it here
I think this was one of my first blushes actually, and I still love it now. It is just a pink, but what makes it so beautiful is the gorgeous sheen that comes from gold satin shimmer running through the product. Its not shimmery or glittery on the skin, but gives a sheer glow and a very subtle blush, as this blush isn't very pigmented.
RIMMEL - PINK ROSE - £3.99 you can buy it here
A few months ago, I bought this blusher on a whim when all I wanted to do was build my makeup collection instead of researching into finding out what pieces were worth buying. Luckily, this is one of the gems I found through impulse buys. A beautiful satin pink with a peachy undertone, I cannot even describe to you how pretty this is! No budget blush I own gives a glow this glowy.
SLEEK - ROSE GOLD - £4.99 you can buy it here
How do I describe this, other than using the words 'rose' and 'gold'?? This blush does what it says on the tin, its a rose gold blush. Sleek blushes are very pigmented, so I get a bit daunted at using this as I love a natural, sheer blush (if I wear any). But, with a very light hand, I love this colour for autumn.
MAKEUP REVOLUTION - CONTOUR KIT, ULTRA FAIR - £3.50 you can buy it here
I rarely use the blusher in this compact despite absolutely loving the bronzer and highlighter that come with it, I don't know why really because it is gorgeous. Very similar to Sleek's Rose Gold, its a pink with a kind of apricot tone to it, and loads of gold shine. The texture is very buttery, which makes it easy to blend.
URBAN DECAY GWEN STEFANI PALETTE - sold out, read my review here
I've been smitten with this palette since I received it for my birthday back in March (you can read about what else I was gifted here). It contains four blushes - a blue-toned pink, a dark rose, a pink gold and a true peach. The pink gold, Hush, and the dark rose, Easy, are my favourites in the palette. Easy is surprisingly wearable and Hush is so radiant. A more detailed review is linked above.

Lovely collection! There was a point in time when I stopped wearing blush and just used bronzer and highlight. The moment I put on some blush for the first time in a long time, I noticed what a huge difference it made to the look. Now I never go without it! As for my recommendations, I love MAC Harmony & Nars Dolce Vita :)

I'm in need of some more high end blushes so your recommendations are a huge help :) xx
DeleteYou've got a beautiful collection :) I've also been trying to start wearing blush lately. I think it makes me look more alive in the colder months. The rimmel one is such a pretty color and the packaging is so cute!

DeleteAh I love Sleek's blush palettes, I agree with your feeling about using them as a sheer blush because you really do have to apply with a very light hand! Leonie x
