How To Stick To Your Resolutions If You're Struggling

Once January is over, a lot of people lose motivation to stick to their NY resolutions, or even forget about them! I didn't set many this year but I've already forgotten what some of them were. In January there are constant reminders to stick to your resolutions, for example so many shops display their workout gear in the windows. But trends pass and Valentines Day kicks in, and new year resolutions are forgotten.

This post is kind of a reminder to myself to stick to my resolutions haha! But if you're in dire need of some motivation, here you go!

Put up a constant reminder | Now that the hubbub has died down, its easy to slip up on your goals because you're not constantly reminded about them. You could put a daily reminder on your phone, or even put sticky notes around your home that you'll definitely see often. This brings your resolutions to the front of your mind so that you'll be more encouraged to stick to them.

Remember why you started | You set that resolution for a reason. Remember it. If you set a goal to lose a stone, imagine how great you'll feel when you've lost it. The whole point of resolutions is that it's something you want to change, and if you don't achieve it this year you'll probably end up in a cycle of setting goals and losing the motivation to achieve them.

Install a reward system | One of the easiest ways to motivate yourself into doing something is to give yourself a little treat after completing it. For example, if you need to tidy your room, do it for 1 hour and then watch a TV episode. Of course you can't negate what you've just done, for example don't reward yourself with a chocolate bar after doing your dreaded workout.

Do you have any other tips? Let me know!
