For so many people, their summer goal is to achieve the perfect, glowy tan. But as soon as it seems you've reached that bronze, it fades away when autumn rolls around. Its always a bit of a bummer when a fortnight after your holiday you've gone back down a couple of foundation shades - so we decided to share a few tips to keep that radiant tan just a little longer!
FAKE IT WITH BRONZER
With a light hand and a good bronzer, your complexion can completely change. Bronzer is an amazing product to either add some dimension and life back to your face, or attempt to help along that fading tan a little. Some of our favourite bronzers are: Benefit Hoola bronzer, Makeup Revolution Ultra Sculpt & Contour Kit, and the bottom left shade in the Makeup Revolution Ultra Contour Kit (I promise the latter two are very different contour kits!!)
I like to keep my body moisturised quite regularly because it always gives a radiance about my skin, so when I'm tanned it becomes even more important. Moisturising takes care of the delicate skin and therefore the tan lasts longer as it has been looked after. Some of our most used moisturisers are: Soap And Glory Righteous Butter, The Body Shop Body Butters and the Ted Baker Pink Body Lotion.
BRIGHT & WHITE COLOURS
It's no secret that wearing white makes your tan pop like crazy. The same goes for fluorescent colours like bright pinks, yellows and oranges. Great ways to incorporate these colours into your outfit and beauty routine include wearing white or neon nail polish; wearing a daring lip colour; bright jewellery etc etc. Dull or dark colours tend to distract from the tan and don't compliment it.
What do you like to do to stay bronzed?
