Transitional Makeup Picks

I love the transition from winter into spring because it's so uplifting. Today was one of the sunniest, warmest days of 2017 so far and it made me feel so positive. It's also exciting switching up my makeup for the warmer months, I tend to go for warmer, lighter colours on the eyes and glossy lips.

Too Faced Chocolate Bar Palette | £39
What I love about this palette is the fact that there are a range of shades, from light champagnes to dark plums. This makes it perfect for transitioning from winter into spring because it's an all-rounder. The pigmentation and quality is just amazing, as I'm sure you've heard before. It also smells divine of cocoa.

Benefit Hoola Bronzer | £23
A bronzer is a perfect way to transition into spring because it adds more dimension and life to the complexion. This is one of my favourite bronzers because it's neither too cool nor too warm, and is matte too. Hoola is really easy to blend which makes it perfect for spring because you can go for a natural look or a look like a golden goddess.

Sleek Blush 'Rose Gold' | £5
This blush is stunning, the pigmentation is incredible - that of a high end blush. It is a gorgeous rose colour with golden flecks running through it, which translate onto the skin as a kind of blush/highlight combo. It's so radiant which is just want you want for transitioning into spring! I actually really like the packaging too, it's very sleek (haha..) and not too garish which drugstore products can sometimes be.

Maybelline Color Tattoo 'Pink Gold' | £5
Cream eyeshadows are so quick and easy, I really need to pick up more shades from Maybelline's collection. They last so long on the lids and have a high colour pay off too. The shade 'pink gold' is very spring appropriate as it is pretty colourful without being daring. With some champagne eyeshadows blended on top, this makes the perfect eye look!

Benefit Benetint | £19
This little red liquid multitasker is great for adding a rosy flush to the lips, which can make them look plump. You could also dab a bit on the apples of the cheeks for a healthy, rosy glow. This is a product I really don't use enough as it's so easy to use on the lips as you don't need much.

L'Oreal Lipstick 'Julianne'  £6.99
Whenever I think of a spring lipstick, my mind thinks of this offering from L'Oreal. It's a pretty peachy pink with a slight sheen to it, and compliments my complexion, making me look healthy and radiant. The pigmentation is great, especially as it isn't a matte, however the longevity isn't amazing.

Maybelline Baby Lips 'Peach Kiss' | £2.99
I adore this lip balm,  and not really for it's moisturising properties as I have more lip balms that perform better in that area. I love this for it's colour - it's a beautiful golden peach with really sheer pigmentation for some natural colour to the lips. It's so easy to apply and looks beautiful when it hits the light. Lip balms are a nice way to wear less heavy makeup when transitioning from winter into spring.

What are your winter-to-spring favourites?
